Marine systems

Fincantieri designs and builds marine components and systems in the field of propulsion and power generation, stabilization and positioning by developing the relative engineering system which guarantees integration of components. 

The Business Unit also manufactures products for application on land, in particular industrial diesel engines and engines for traction up to 2,500 kW and industrial turbines up to 35,000 kW. 

The Business Unit pools the products and the system skills:

  • Riva Trigoso shipyard, tasked with the production of turbines and mechanical components;
  • of Isotta Fraschini Motori (Bari), tasked with designing and building diesel engines with a power range from 200 to 2,00 kW;
  • of Fincantieri Marine Systems North America, which sells, to the North America market, the products of the Business Unit whilst at the same time carrying out relative service activities. “Supporting the customer” is the motto of Fincantieri Marine Systems North America.
