He was born in Naples (Italy) on 24 March 1967 and graduated in Law at the University of Naples “Federico II”. He has been attorney since 1997.


Since May 2014 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of FINCANTIERI S.p.A. and he has been Chairman of the Control and Risk Committee for two terms.




Since April 2015, he has been Chairman of the Board of Banca del Mezzogiorno - Mediocredito Centrale and since November 2017 he has been Chairman of the Board of F2i – Fondi Italiani per le Infrastrutture.





In 2013 he was economic and legal Advisor to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for the executive branch representing the Presidency in dealings with Italian businesses and companies. During the “Letta Government” (April 2013 – February 2014) he represented the Presidency in relations with the undersecretary and the Economic Ministries.


He worked to turnaround operations in situations of financial stress, more specifically filing and managing settlement with creditors and bankruptcy procedures, acquisitions and Corporate Governance procedures. As a commercial law expert, with particular attention to corporate law and corporate litigation, he was receiver of corporate and financial assets for the Court of Naples.


He administered frozen corporate and real estate assets of Italian criminal families leading to their seizure. He has also worked on behalf of the Government Commission set up to develop proposals, including of a financial nature, to fight organised crime, ensuring in particular the examination of the relationships between the economy and organized crime.
