Costa Concordia was delivered from Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente shipyard in Genoa. Featuring a large wellness area equipped with every comfort, a Grand Prix driving simulator, two indoor swimming pools, and a giant cinema screen, in 2006—the year she was built—she was the largest passenger ship flying the Italian flag and the largest European passenger ship in terms of capacity.
