Industrial excellence

We promote integrity and excellence throughout the entire value chain
We aim to ensure integrity and industrial excellence throughout our entire value chain, as expressed in the third development focus of our 2023-2027 Sustainability Plan. For this reason, we are committed to constantly improving the health and safety of the people who work with us, involving our suppliers in a shared sustainability journey, and producing ships that are increasingly technological and environmentally efficient. This continuous focus on quality is based both on the strength of our tradition and our drive for innovation, to offer our clients high-end, high-value-added products.
THIS DEVELOPMENT FOCUS RESPONDS TO IMPORTANT SOCIO-ECONOMIC TRENDS
A STRONG DRIVE TOWARDS NEW TECHNOLOGIES
to reduce the environmental impact of ships throughout their entire life cycle
THE CENTRALITY OF HUMAN RESOURCES
primarily in the focus on health and safety at production sites
THE STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN
which must be involved in an ESG awareness journey

WE ARE COMMITTED TO ENSURING THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL WORKERS

The safety of those working in our shipyards and offices is an absolute priority for us: our goal is a future with zero accidents. Our course is set by our Integrated Management System for Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, and Energy and by our Policy in this area. We have achieved ISO 45001 certification for 100% of our Italian production sites and for 89% at Group level.

We are constantly committed to improving our health and safety performance through measures for risk analysis, prevention, control, and monitoring. We carry out numerous initiatives to promote and spread a safety culture among our employees and the workers of our suppliers, as also demonstrated by the institutional “Safety on Board” campaign.

WE INVOLVE OUR SUPPLIERS AND PARTNERS IN A SHARED PATH OF GROWTH
Aware of our role as the supply chain leader, we have defined a Sustainable Supply Chain strategy, which drives continuous improvement in our supply chain on ESG topics. We ask our partners to sign the Supplier Code of Ethics, which formalizes and communicates our values, principles, and behaviors. To guide our supply chain on the sustainable growth path, we launched the PartnerShip program, featuring numerous initiatives for sharing, dialogue, and the transfer of knowledge and best practices. We also carry out a four-year ESG assessment program involving around 1,000 of the Group’s strategic suppliers, and we conduct regular audits on sustainability-related issues.

WE CREATE EXCELLENT PRODUCTS
Our cruise ships stand out for their use of advanced technologies for energy saving and emission reduction, as well as for their excellent performance. Reducing environmental impact has become a key driver in the future design of cruise ships, and we have implemented numerous initiatives to get closer to the Net Zero target, aiming to improve propulsion efficiency (currently with LNG, in the future with fuel cells, methanol, and hydrogen) and reduce energy requirements. In the military ship market as well, we are working to meet the growing demand to combine high operational performance with solutions to limit environmental impacts.
WE PUT THE CUSTOMER AT THE CENTER
Our customers reflect the Group’s diversification in terms of sectors, markets, and geographic areas. We work in particular with the world’s leading cruise operators and the navies of various countries. We are committed to ensuring excellence in all our ships, as expressed in our “Quality Policy — Ongoing Commitment to Excellence,” updated in 2024, and in our certifications. Focus on quality is ensured at every stage of our production process, and we monitor compliance with procedures through regular internal audits. We measure customer satisfaction using a Customer Satisfaction Index, which has averaged 81/100 over the past five years.
