WHISTLEBLOWING

Employees and third parties, through the Whistleblowing system, can report any issues related to non-compliance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct, the Organizational Model, the Anti-Corruption Policy, or the company procedures adopted by Fincantieri, as well as any violations of national and European Union regulations.

The preferred method for submitting a report is non-anonymous, as it makes it easier to ascertain the facts and, if necessary, collect additional information.

The system adopted complies with the requirements set out in Legislative Decree 24/2023 implementing Directive (EU) 2019/1937, concerning “the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law and containing provisions regarding the protection of persons who report breaches of national regulatory provisions.

TYPES OF REPORTS
  • situations of conflict of interest deemed unknown to the company;
  • acts of corruption by third parties towards employees or by employees towards third parties;
  • fraud;
  • improper use of company assets;
  • intentional communication of false information to Public Administrations;
  • possible violations of national and European Union regulations;
  • discrimination and harassment;
  • other situations of violation of Group policies and ethical standards.

Vague, poorly detailed reports, or those that are clearly made in bad faith or have a slanderous or defamatory nature will not be considered. Any reports not relevant under Legislative Decree 231/2001 and the anti-corruption management system will be forwarded to the competent function.

Online platform: submission through the platform can be made with or without registration, in written form or via voice messaging. PROTECTIONS
Confidentiality of sources and information obtained is guaranteed, subject to legal obligations. Furthermore, Fincantieri will not take retaliatory actions (disciplinary sanctions, demotion, suspension, dismissal) or discriminate in any way in the workplace against company personnel who have acted in good faith to report events or situations related to compliance with the Code of Conduct, the Organizational Model, the Anti-Corruption Policy, the Supplier Code of Ethics, company procedures or legal regulations. This protection is also extended to facilitators (those who assist the whistleblower); to persons in the same work context as the whistleblower and who are linked by a stable emotional or family bond; to colleagues who have a regular and ongoing relationship with the whistleblower; to entities owned by the whistleblower or where they work, as well as to entities operating in the same work context and to all subjects identified in Article 3 of Legislative Decree 24/2023.
