The Fincantieri Foundation was established in March 2008 with the aim of recovering and safeguarding the historical heritage of our company, consisting of historical documents on naval, military, and civil shipbuilding, as well as industrial archaeology artifacts. The foundation’s mission is to preserve and enhance the history of the Italian shipbuilding industry, while also promoting innovation and research in this strategic sector.

The Foundation supports cultural, educational and historical research initiatives to tell the story of the evolution of a sector that represents Italian excellence, keeping the memory of the past alive and inspiring the future. Through the preservation of historical archives, the publication of books and support for research projects, the Foundation is committed to making the rich technical and cultural heritage accumulated over time accessible.
