IBAN Code

Please note that Legislative Decree no. 11 of January 27, 2010, which implemented the European Directive 2007/64/EC into our legal system, established, among other things, the adoption of the IBAN as the sole identifier for the execution of bank transfers. As a result of this change, banks now only verify that the IBAN code exists and is formally correct, and no longer check the correspondence between the payment beneficiary and the account holder to whom the IBAN refers.

Italian and foreign suppliers registered on the portal https://engage.fincantieri.it/ must enter their IBAN in the dedicated “Bank Accounts” section; any changes or channeling of the IBAN must be made exclusively in the same area of the portal.

For suppliers not registered on the portal https://engage.fincantieri.it/, for the purpose of communicating changes to the IBAN of the preferred bank and/or any channeling, communications must be made as follows:

Requests will be considered valid by our Company only if drafted on company letterhead, signed in original by the company’s legal representative (preferably with a digital signature), indicating, by stamp or in text format, the name, surname, and position of the signing legal representative, documented with the company’s chamber of commerce registration (or company registration certificate, for non-Italian suppliers); a copy of the personal identity document of the signatory (legal representative) must also be attached.
