Grampian Tyne, the first of four VARD 4 12 Service Operation Vessels (SOV), was built to provide long-term support for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) at the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm.

She is equipped with hybrid battery-powered generators and Voith-Schneider eVSP propulsion to reduce fuel consumption and enhance offshore performance.

A side-loading logistics system enables safe and efficient quayside reloading to the covered warehouse on the main deck.

Operations are optimized through the MO4 digital twin and decision-support software for predictive planning and KPI monitoring.

The vessel also carries a custom daughter craft for the safe deployment of technicians and cargo in challenging sea conditions.
