Within the framework of initiatives undertaken by Fincantieri to further sustain the development actions which have enabled the company to achieve substantial commercial, economic and financial results and in order to strengthen its management structure, the Board of Directors has appointed Emilio Palma General Manager.
Emilio Palma, 61, has vast experience in the field of auditing and corporate finance gained during the twenty five years he spent as a partner in PriceWaterhouseCoopers during which he also directed their Rome offices.
Mr. Palma, who will be head of some of the core management functions, will take up his appointment from the first of June and report to the Chief Executive Officer, Giuseppe Bono, who will continue to directly supervise the company’s three Business Units - Cruise, Merchant and Naval.
Furthermore, Fincantieri has recently created the function of Business Development and Corporate Finance headed by Fabrizio Palermo, 34, whose previous experience includes ten years working for Morgan Stanley and McKinsey.
