FINCANTIERI APPOINTS A NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Trieste, 8 October 2014 – FINCANTIERI S.p.A. (“Fincantieri” or the “Company”) announces that, pursuant the Company’s Board of Directors resolution, effective from today, Mr. Giuseppe Dado becomes Chief Financial Officer of the Company ending the interim role undertaken by Mr. Vitaliano Pappaianni, Corporate General Manager of Fincantieri, on 1 October 2014.
Mr. Dado, in Fincantieri since 2005, served as Vice President of Group Treasury and Corporate Finance since 2008 and his appointment as Chief Financial Officer confirms the Company’s strategy continuity.

Based on the disclosures made to the Company and to the public, Messrs. Pappaianni and Dado each hold directly n. 10,000 ordinary shares of Fincantieri.
Curriculum Vitae – Giuseppe Dado
Born in Pordenone, Italy, on 3 September 1969, he holds a degree in Business Administration and has been Vice President of Group Treasury and Corporate Finance of Fincantieri since 2008. He started his career in 1997 in the Management Control department at Electrolux Home Products Italy S.p.A.. In 1999, he then moved to Ernst & Young S.p.A. where he held various positions in the Transaction Advisory Services division. In 2003 he joined Permasteelisa Group, in the United States, with responsibilities in the Financial Control and Treasury area. In 2005 he joined Fincantieri as Head of Financial Planning, within the Treasury and Finance function.
