AT FINCANTIERI, EVERY JOURNEY BEGINS WITH A DEEP CONVICTION: DIVERSITY IS NOT JUST A VALUE, BUT AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR DNA.

In 2020, we launched a structured path to fully integrate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) into our governance. This commitment originates from our people and recognizes the plurality of backgrounds and talents as a driving force for the Group’s growth.

DE&I ACTION PLAN
With the launch of the DE&I Action Plan in 2022, we defined a structured and shared Group-wide approach to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion into everyday work. Actions are organized into four key areas, designed to meet the needs of our people and the contexts in which we operate.
GENDER DIVERSITY

WE BELIEVE IN A WORK CULTURE WHERE GENDER EQUALITY IS NOT JUST A GOAL TO BE ACHIEVED, BUT A PRINCIPLE TO BE PRACTICED EVERY DAY.

This commitment is guided by solid governance, supported by policies, guidelines and clear, shared strategic objectives. Our approach covers all stages of working life: from recruitment to development, up to parenting, because equity also means supporting each person through their most crucial moments.

PREVENTION, RESPECT AND ACTIVE LISTENING

At Fincantieri, we promote a culture of respect that rejects all forms of violence, harassment, bullying or sexually inappropriate behavior, in line with the principles of equal dignity and non-discrimination.

This commitment has been formalized through the Policy against workplace harassment, which applies to all Group employees – in Italy and abroad – and to all third parties we work with. The policy is based on a clear and non-negotiable principle: zero tolerance for any conduct that compromises respect, freedom and integrity of individuals. Its scope also extends to extra-work contexts related to company activities, including events, business trips, electronic communications and the use of company or personal social media.

THE THREE GUIDELINES OF OUR ACTION
PREVENTION AND AWARENESS
We implement targeted programs to identify risks, raise staff awareness and promote behaviors based on mutual respect. Our training initiatives, integrated into the everyDEI program, include:
Workshops and sessions on inclusive language and unconscious bias
Regular courses to recognize and prevent inappropriate behavior
Communication activities linked to events such as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
DISCIPLINARY MEASURES AND PROTECTION
Any conduct in violation of the Policy is managed promptly and rigorously:
For Group staff, disciplinary sanctions are provided
For suppliers and third parties, contractual actions such as suspension, termination or compensation may be applied
REPORTING AND PROTECTION OF INDIVIDUALS
Fincantieri has activated a secure, confidential and accessible whistleblowing system, allowing the reporting of harassment, discrimination or human rights violations. Every report is handled, analyzed and monitored with full respect for confidentiality, and no reporting or involved person is subject to retaliation.
