Fincantieri: Shareholders renew the Board and give the go-ahead to increase capital

Fincantieri’s shareholders – who had already met on 27 May and approved the financial statement for 2008 with the distribution of a dividend of € 10.1 million for the fifth year running – met again today in to renew the company’s Board of Directors..
For the three years 2009-2011 the Shareholders have appointed Corrado Antonini as Chairman and have designated Giuseppe Bono as Chief Executive Officer. The Shareholders also appointed Francesco Belsito, Olga Cuccurullo, Pierpaolo Dominedò, Alfonso Walker Meghnagi and Giovanni Vio to the Board.
In addition, the Shareholders moved to grant the Board of Directors the power to increase the company’s capital, against payment and divisibly up to a maximum of 300 million Euros, to be offered as an option to the shareholders.
Finally, the Shareholders re-appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers as auditors for the three years 2009-2011.
