The portal deeply renews design, user experience, and institutional language, offering an immersive narrative of Fincantieri’s evolution. A key role is entrusted to captAIn, the proprietary artificial intelligence agent that transforms the website into a true cognitive hub.
CaptAIn is an intelligent search engine that provides immediate and personalized access to all Group content—texts, videos, graphics, and documents. In real time, it synthesizes and reworks information, creating new pages to deliver tailored answers to every request and guiding users with an intuitive and adaptive interface. Designed with advanced agent-based architecture, captAIn will also be the cornerstone of the Group’s future digital communication innovations.

The portal’s redesign translates this vision into a contemporary, fluid, and inclusive digital experience, designed to accompany every user on a simple, immediate, and engaging navigation journey. The content structure has been designed to ensure maximum accessibility and usability, in line with the principles of the European Accessibility Act. Adherence to the WCAG 2.2 AA standard, according to the World Wide Web Consortium guidelines, also positions Fincantieri among the Italian leaders already aligned with the highest international benchmarks in digital accessibility, further strengthening its role as a reference point in responsible innovation.
The new menu, with its essential design, highlights images, the AI agent captAIn, and the three main sections — Group, Business, and People — which reflect Fincantieri’s identity and values, with particular attention to the centrality of its human capital. The homepage opens with a hero video that immerses visitors in the company’s values and vision. There is also a Newsroom designed to offer dynamic content, conceived as the primary source for news and in-depth features, with a structured editorial plan integrated with all media channels, and an Investor Relations section transformed into a true digital financial center, where data, KPIs, documents, and multimedia content are accessible in a simple, transparent, and interactive way.
For this project, 60 professionals were involved, dedicating over 7,000 hours of development, all working with a single vision: to create a portal capable of combining identity, innovation, and accessibility, thus representing Fincantieri’s digital future. The website project is inspired by the three words that define the Group’s vision — Future On Board — and digitally translates the values guiding the company’s transformation.
