Behind every achievement of ours are people with unique stories, visions and skills. For us, diversity is a strategic driver: it makes decisions stronger, relationships more solid and innovation faster.
That’s why we adopt concrete policies and tools to value every individual and make them feel part of the change, regardless of gender, age, background, culture, ability or orientation. And we do this with a clear vision: to attract, engage and nurture everyone’s talent, with respect and authenticity.
Because every journey needs different crews. And we want everyone to contribute, in their own way, to charting Fincantieri’s course."
Talking about inclusion means acting, with method and responsibility.
That’s why we have defined a dedicated Action Plan for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion that guides us over time, with clear objectives and projects designed to foster an increasingly aware, accessible and open corporate culture for all forms of diversity.
A concrete and structured path, an integral part of our sustainability and people management strategy, involving people, processes and relationships around four strategic pillars.
At Fincantieri, inclusion is made of gestures, shared experiences and strategic alliances.
That’s why we create events, awareness campaigns, collaborations and projects that actively involve our people and the local area, strengthening a truly open, respectful and collaborative corporate culture.
We are, in fact, part of a network that promotes change every day and allows us to work with associations, organizations, institutions, and schools to amplify our impact and build, together, a more equitable and aware society.
Every day, men and women of our Group bring passion, talent and dreams to our shipyards, offices and international locations. From Luca, who turned his passion for design into a career in the naval sector, to Veronica, who, from her digital experience, is leading IT innovation, to Andrea, who discovered a new professional world by overcoming fears and prejudices — the stories of 'Beyond the Sea' tell of an experience that goes far beyond the sea.
DISCOVER THE STORIES OF OUR PEOPLE
In 2023, we obtained the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Certification for Gender Equality, becoming the first company in the Italian shipbuilding sector to implement a structured management system for gender equity.
The maintenance of the Certification, recognized by RINA, was confirmed for 2024 as well, both for the Parent Company and for all Italian subsidiaries of the Group, as proof of ongoing and consistent commitment.
The governance and full operation of the System are primarily entrusted to the Steering Committee of the Gender Equality Management System, composed of managers from Human Resources, Strategic Communication and Sustainability functions, who, among other things, are responsible for:
A milestone that involves Fincantieri S.p.A. and all Italian subsidiaries of the Group, reflecting a concrete commitment to measurable objectives, inclusive HR processes and dedicated strategic plans.
