This corvette is a sea-proven warship, currently service with the United Arab Emirates Navy (UAE) and in different configurations with other navies, including the Italian Navy. Its displacement, combat system operational capabilities, high overall performance, and transport capabilities are optimized for multiple operational roles, including interdiction, escort, patrol, logistics support, and rescue. The vessel, in its Full Combat configuration, is capable of operating in all combat domains (AAW - ASuW - ASW), making it a multipurpose warship with excellent capabilities for countering asymmetric threats. These ships are highly maneuverable, possess excellent survivability characteristics and seakeeping capabilities, have a long endurance, and are capable of carrying out missions even in the open sea. The command, control, and communications systems allow this ship to conduct operations both as a stand-alone unit and as part of a complex Task Group.

The ship is equipped with a flight deck and a retractable hangar that can accommodate a medium-sized helicopter, thus extending the ship's operational capacity. Minimized personnel requirements and increased safety both in port and at sea ensure a high level of reliability, operational readiness, and flexibility in all naval tasks and missions the ship will be called upon to perform. It guarantees a high level of customization based on the navies' requirements.
