This Light Frigate is sea proven and highly flexible, with the capability to perform multiple tasks ranging from patrolling to the role of a combat vessel. It’s capable of performing a wide range of mission profiles across various operational environments. These include air, surface, and submarine surveillance and control, Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Anti-Air Warfare (AAW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW), Naval Gunfire Support and ATBM capability.
The FCX30 is designed with a single platform available in two distinct combat system configurations: Multipurpose or Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW).
The FCX30 is engineered for exceptional survivability, with a design that minimizes Signatures (radar, infrared, magnetic, and acoustic) ensuring superior stealth and resilience in challenging environments. It oers the same level of survivability of frontline frigates, it can maintain 50% of its propulsion and power generation capabilities even if two adjacent compartments are flooded.
It can deploy fast craft such as RHIBs (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats) through a side crane and a ramp located at the extreme stern (in the Multipurpose version). In the ASW version in place of the stern ramp there is a VDS. The flight deck and hangar are equipped to accommodate an NH90 helicopter.
