We design and manufacture high-performance steam turbines, built to meet the highest technical standards and the most complex application requirements. These turbines are used in the naval, industrial, and energy generation sectors, and represent a strategic asset in the energy transition and the decarbonization of propulsion and production systems.
APPLICATION AREAS
The experience gained enables the Group to position itself on the market as a manufacturer of complete, reliable, and innovative solutions, capable of combining efficiency, compactness, and sustainability.
Fincantieri steam turbines are used across a wide range of sectors:
- Naval propulsion: military ships, logistic support units, icebreakers.
- Power generation: thermoelectric plants, cogeneration, biomass, waste treatment.
- Mechanical drive: refineries, paper mills, cement plants, sugar mills, petrochemical and agri-food facilities.
PRODUCT RANGE
The turbines are available with power ratings up to 50,000 kW, with steam admission parameters up to 140 bar / 540 °C and rotational speeds ranging from 3,000 to 13,000 rpm.
Configurations can be back-pressure, condensing, with bleeds or controlled extractions, depending on plant requirements.
INTEGRATION AND GLOBAL SUPPORT
The turbines are designed to seamlessly integrate with onboard or plant electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems, ensuring operational continuity, redundancy, and optimized energy consumption. Integration with automation systems enables real-time performance monitoring and predictive maintenance management.
We offer a comprehensive after-sales service, which includes:
- assistance during installation and commissioning;
- on-demand maintenance and long-term service agreements;
- remote monitoring service with automatic anomaly detection and scheduling of corrective actions.
Fincantieri offers its customers on-demand maintenance services and long-term service agreements to ensure full plant operability. To optimize maintenance scheduling according to specific customer needs, Fincantieri also provides a remote monitoring service, through which a team of expert engineers receives alerts about potential system malfunctions, enabling timely corrective actions before unplanned failures occur.
