E-phors, Fincantieri’s Center of Excellence, was established in 2020 as an extension of the Group’s cybersecurity department. Specialized in cybersecurity strategies and solutions for Fincantieri and its main subsidiaries, the company has consolidated its expertise in the maritime sector, becoming a benchmark for some of the largest clients in the cruise and Defense industries.

With the goal of creating cyber-resilient ships, E-phors, through a Cyber Security by Design approach, has developed processes, strategies and solutions that follow the entire lifecycle of a vessel, integrating from the earliest stages of functional engineering and unit construction.

These consolidated skills have enabled E-phors to establish a strategic partnership with the Italian Navy, aiming to increase the cyber resilience of military naval fleets and to enhance crew capabilities in preventing and countering cyberattacks.
