RINA has awarded Fincantieri the ISO 31030 certification for Travel Risk Management, making it the first Italian company to receive this prestigious recognition

At Fincantieri, ensuring a safe and secure work environment is an absolute priority. Our active adherence to ESG standards highlights our commitment to creating a workplace that not only respects the environment and promotes best practices but also places the highest emphasis on the safety and well-being of our employees. Our Group is continuously dedicated to supporting and protecting its people. This is why, when it comes to maintaining high duty-of-care standards, we take great pride in our position as an industry leader.

The prestigious ISO 31030 certification, granted by RINA, a multinational company specializing in naval classification, certification, inspection, and engineering consultancy, and recognized worldwide, confirms our excellence in managing employee travel risks, a crucial area for ensuring their safety and well-being. Achieving this certification is tangible proof of our commitment and demonstrates how safety is embedded in Fincantieri's corporate and operational strategy. It is an ambitious path that highlights the Group's determination to continuously improve and standardize risk management practices on a global scale.

We will continue to invest in initiatives aimed at ensuring the safety of our employees and improving working conditions across all our shipyards. Our company always strives to adopt a pioneering approach, particularly in implementing advanced technologies for worker safety and protection. The numerous initiatives undertaken in this regard reflect the Group's commitment not only to meet but to exceed the requirements of all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

"We are extremely pleased to be the first in Italy to obtain ISO 31030 certification," said Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and General Manager of Fincantieri. "This achievement is a testament to our dedication to employee safety and well-being and positions us as pioneers in the industry. The safety and well-being of our people are at the heart of our daily operations, representing one of the fundamental pillars of our industrial plan and a key aspect of our ESG practices, where the 'S' stands not only for social but also for safety."

Carlo Luzzatto, CEO and General Manager of RINA, added: "The ISO 31030 certification, which RINA operates in line with its general accreditations, allows organizations that apply this virtuous model to obtain validation and recognition for their travel risk management efforts. I would like to congratulate Fincantieri, which once again has set the course by safeguarding the safety and well-being of its people even during business travel."
