OUR COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITIES AND LOCAL AREAS
Fincantieri Group Policy on Initiatives for Communities and Territories

Through the Fincantieri Group Policy on Initiatives for Communities and Territories, we are committed to promoting constant dialogue with local communities and actively supporting them, in line with our purpose, our Code of Conduct, the Sustainability Commitments Charter, and the Sustainability Plan.

The Policy, approved by the Board of Directors, identifies the seven lines of action that guide our strategy in support of communities and territories, defining a path of active participation and value sharing.

OUR COMMUNITY SUPPORT ACTIVITIES

We promote the growth and wellbeing of local communities through targeted initiatives, donations, grants, and investments designed to concretely address the needs of the areas where we operate, becoming an active part of their social and economic development.

In 2024, we allocated approximately €1.8 million at Group level to community initiatives.

Fincantieri supports the WOW - Wheels on Waves - Around The World project, which allows people with mobility disabilities to sail around the world on the catamaran "'Lo Spirito di Stella'" led by disabled skipper Andrea Stella. As part of the project, concrete activities are planned, one of which has already taken place in La Spezia where some children and young people with disabilities, children of our colleagues, experienced an educational day approaching sailing, were able to visit the catamaran and understand how it is possible to overcome challenges and achieve one's goals, regardless of the difficulties encountered.
