In the first year of our new Industrial Plan, we achieved significant milestones, and I would like to express my gratitude to all the people at FINCANTIERI who, with their unwavering commitment, have played a crucial role in the company's growth and the accomplishment of these successes.
In 2023, we obtained encouraging strategic results in the new LNG, methanol, and hydrogen power systems, proprietary data platforms for digital twin technology, simulation systems, and predictive maintenance. We made advancements in the first applications of artificial intelligence and remote piloting, as well as in the automation and digitization of shipyards, with the aim of revitalizing the involvement of Italians in the heavy industry sector. Lastly, we ventured into the underwater domain, representing the new frontier where we aim to increasingly lead the industry and the country.
The path to the future is mapped out, and we are ready to sail towards new successes, further strengthening our role as leaders in the sector and consolidating our commitment to a more sustainable and innovative future.

Beyond targets, a group achievement
Almost at breakeven, 2 years ahead of plan
Thanks to a sound financial discipline, the solid business performance of Shipbuilding, both Defence and Cruise, as well as a strong rebound in the Offshore and Specialised Vessels business, which drove EBITDA and EBIT growth, we were able to achieve an adjusted net result almost at breakeven, which is 2 years ahead of our business plan target.
