Trieste, March 21, 2023 – Within one year of the opening of “Fincantesimo”, Fincantieri’s first corporate nursery, the Group announces that it will launch a second facility in Monfalcone in October 2023, based in the former “Albergo Operai” building, a symbol of Fincantieri’s historic bond with the local community.

At full capacity, the nursery will be able to accommodate 34 children, both children of Fincantieri employees and workers of the community. The company will bear the cost of the service for the sons of Fincantieri employees, except for a monthly fee paid by the parents of the children attending the nurseries, based on their ISEE (Equivalent Financial Situation Indicator) bracket.

The initiative is the pivotal point of a series of activities aimed at favoring the work-life balance of Fincantieri people and it was also an important issue in the latest renewal of the company supplementary agreement, signed last October, in which the importance of parenting and support for working women returning from the period of motherhood, among other topics, was shared by Fincantieri’s management and the trade union organizations. Implementation of the project will then continue with the gradual activation of the service at the other company sites.
